The date is set, and the wheels are turning for the second annual Dirt And Nothing Else jam; otherwise referred to as the Dane Searls memorial jam. Dane was an absolute legend, and what better way to honour him than a day roasting jumps. In the spirit of Dane, the jam has been stripped back, with no prizes, but who needs them, when you could have potentially the best riding day of your life, whilst commemorating one of the best ever to do it. Here’s what the dudes over at Back Bone have to say:
“We’ll get this out of the way early, but THIS IS NOT the day to come & try out dirt jumps for the first time. We don’t want anyone who is outside of their comfort zone & skill level getting hurt & we don’t want the trails getting blown out. This is our trail spot & once all that come for the day leave, then it’s us that have to deal with maintenance/rubbish etc. So please have some respect.
We miss you, Dane. We wish you could be here with us instead of this jam. But everyone is going to be up at the trails for you in November, putting their tires on dirt & remembering the legend that you are.”
So, get to a local trails spot, or build your own to be ready, I know I’ll be out at Castle Cove getting comfortable. Get all the info over here.
