How long have you had the store for?
Almost 2 years now.
What was the reason for starting it?
Things weren’t panning out at the bike shop I was working at so I thought I’d start my own thing. BMX is the only thing I know well enough to be confident to go out on my own.
How many people work there?
There’s 3 of us at the moment, Jack Karger, Liam Zingbergs and myself.
What is the most satisfying thing about running the shop?
We get to have lots of good times with like minded crew.
Do you do mailorder?
Yes, we have lots of SA country customers. We are currently building a online store to make it easier.
What has been the most random thing that has happened in the store?
We seem to get a lot of drunk peeps coming in, we have a pub 100 meters each side of the store, so plenty of boozy antics. The funniest sight was a crash out the front (Sound bad I know but read on), a car rear ended a Tarago van and out of the vans hopped 8 smiling Buddhist monks all in their orange robes. They were real stoked no one got hurt. The happiest dudes I’ve ever seen at a crash scene, for sure!
The most common question asked by customers is?
Got any free stickers?
Does the shop have a team?
Yep, we help some crew out. Ryan Lloyd (United Bikes and Primary Threads) and Josh Kathigitis (United Bikes) are our top level riders. Mike Moore (Fly Bikes, Primary Threads and Fuse Protection) plus Liam Zingbergs (Colony BMX and Primary Threads) who are our flow riders. Last but not least we have the bros we help out, Ryan Knight (Primary Threads), Beechy, Nate Walker and Michael Mcmah (Dishonour Clothing),
How many times a day do you get asked for scooter wheels?
Only ever been asked a couple of times, there is a real good shop (I hear, never been there we are to busy) for scooter stuff in the Adelaide cbd aswell.
Do you offer work experience for school kids?
Yes, we have about 6 – 8 work experience kids a year.
