What goes missing the most from your bag?

Nothing. Ever. (refer to question 5) Maybe the back support it’s meant to have?

What lens do you use the most and why?

Probably the stock Leica lens on my Panasonic. It’s nice and wide, I love filming long even more so since going HD because I can’t afford the extreme fisheye and the century fisheye I have for it doesn’t even compare to how wide my death lens was on the VX. I knew the upgrade to HD would be bittersweet…

What program do you use for editing?
Final Cut Pro with Cinema Tools to edit, After Effects for anything tricky

Is your gear insured?
Ummm… Is there some code that can make this answer self destruct in 5 seconds? haha. I spend all my money on equipment. If you know an insurance company with a good offering please get in touch! If I lost my gear I would lose my sanity.

Favourite filmers out there that motivate you to go out and film?
Ty Evans, Jason Hernandez, Navaz, James Cox, Stew Johnson

What do you enjoy filming most?
My friends pedalling around on little kids bikes.

Favourite style of filming? Eg: rolling on a board, bike, panning tripod shot, dolly, steadycam etc..
Rolling on a skateboard hands down. It’s way more fun! If I’m having fun things always work out better, just like when you’re riding a bike. I find tripod shots lazy and boring, both film and watch, so for me to carry one around really doesn’t justify the savage back pain for a lanky guy like me. Same goes with my steadycam.

Best advice you can give someone starting out…
BMX edits aren’t everything, absorb anything and everything that keeps you inspired and gets you stoked. Watch skate & BMX videos, old and new. Whenever I watch something new from Ty Evans or Jason Hernandez it makes me feel the need to improve my game… Steady hands over steadycams.
