Chris definitely went in hard for his new video. Plenty of tech, yet big park riding, but the standout clips for me was that ridiculous whip gap at Runaway Bay, and the 360 whip to no hander.

A huge chunk of the Colony team will be trekking from North Queensland, down the East Coast. The trip kicks off in Maryborough next week, and finishing up at Back Bone in Canberra almost two weeks later. There are plenty of shop stops, and they will definitely be hitting up a heap of parks along the way. If you see them, be sure to say hey!

Last year I got to see Refused play. Everyone has an album or two that helped develop their thoughts and ideas, and for me, The Shape Of Punk To Come was that album. I’m not one to get too excited at concerts, usually taking the tough man arms crossed approach at the back of the room, but when Refused came on stage I let loose and got wild with the teenagers in the pit. I saw them play at both their shows and it will be something I will never forget.
Cherrybrook park in Sydney is scheduled to undergo a much-needed upgrade, with construction starting next month. Unfortunately, the current design has a few fundamental flaws. To rectify this, a consultation is going down at the park, tonight at 7pm. If you live nearby, try and make it out there, to have some input and ensure the upgrade works. More info here.
When Cooper is not busy filming, taking photos, creating mags, ads, web content, making shirts, organizing jams or helping the Australian scene he sometimes rides. Colony just uploaded his 2011 DVD and it’s a treat! By far my favourite section, packed with tons of amazing grind combos and coaster moves!
Brandon Carr sent thorugh this edit for me to check out and I was really into the vibe the video gave off. It seemed more about the crew just enjoying BMX for what it’s suppose to be and shredding at the same time…
Ben Heidrich organized his crew to put on a BMX demo in Melrose (middle of nowhere) and fired out a few hammers for the crowd. Filming and editing is on point, I enjoy seeing simple turndowns and no handers over dirt, but plenty of backflip combos in here if you’re into that too, and even a bikeflip! Good to see small shops supporting the scene!

Aaram Selway just landed the first double backflip 360 at the GC Compound. Pretty nuts.
