I think Joe Rich might be my favourite BMX filmmaker, despite not being the most prolific or productive. Nobody else can equally encapsulate what BMX actually is, to me at least. I think this has a lot to do with his “fly on the wall” method; as though everything that he captures is entirely organic, and would’ve happened whether the camera was out or not. This particular video, from their 2011 Australian tour, from Sydney all the way down to Adelaide might just be the epitome of everything I just talked about (excluding, of course, You Get What You Get). The riding is amazing, but there is so much more to it than that.
