BMX riders from all over Australia (and other countries) descended upon Canberra’s Hillfire trails over the weekend for the third annual Dane Searls Memorial Jam, hosted by the crew at Backbone. Riders were able to pay homage to Dane’s legacy by roasting the perfectly maintained jumps as the sun went down – and those who didn’t ride were treated to one hell of a show. The Searls family was present, too, which made the afternoon all the more special. Shout-out to Tom O’Reilly who took home the only award that was presented in the evening – the Most Valuable Builder award – something that Chinga would have loved.
