Jams are about hopping in the car with your mates & heading to a place you have never been before in search of good times, good vibes, new friends & riding your bike. The abundance of BMX on the internet dilutes most peoples’ will to get to a jam, maybe because you’ve seen all the good riding at that spot online, or you know the edit of it will be out in a few days, but nothing, NOTHING, will ever compare to being there, experiencing it for yourself.

Octoberfest was awesome – solid dudes putting in a lot of work for the simple idea of getting riders together & riding the trails. There needs to be more jams like Octoberfect in Adelaide. Plain & simple. It is BMX. Tyson Jones-Peni.

The Octoberfest jam was set in pretty much a perfect day apart from a heavy cross wind most of the day till late evening but that didn’t stop the most determined riders. I unfortunately knocked myself out first jump on the day  but it was still a great watch with music cranking, old school bikes laid out for show along with awesome Octoberfest shirts for sale to help fund new tools for the trails & well organised by the crew. Thanks to Angus Sampson, Ryan Lloyd, MTB Nigel, Little Black Bike and everyone that made it happen.  Adam Hough

There’s not much you can say about Adelaide’s October fest 2013 but, what the fuck! The show Adelaide city dirt crew, and little black bike, put on for everyone was rad. From the sausage sizzle and giveaway’s, to the S&M logo third lip, the jam had it all. Some of the sickest trail riders from all over the nation went out to Adelaide, South Australia the only place in Australia to have dirt jumps in the middle of the city, and had a sick roll. The morning started off a little windy but everyone persisted and waited for an afternoon session that didn’t disappoint. The wind died down, and shit went wild. It was so sick to see so many people riding and spectating, even the mayor came down and said, ‘he was fucking stoked’ over the microphone haha.

Riders from all groups came to shred and have a good time and watch as the mayhem unfolds on the dialed set that Adelaide city dirt is. It truly was, what trails should be. Hanging out with mates, having a beer or two, flowing through sculptured piles of dirt, which is exactly what everyone did. All in all it was an amazing day, perfect jumps with tones of sick dudes. Definitely a jam to be at next year! Liam Smith

We’ll we rocked up about lunch time on the day, police were waiting up the road giving riders helmet fines. Got to the trails and it was super hot and pretty windy. So we chilled a bit and watch a bunch of young kids ride during the heat. It began to cool down a bit later and the wind dropped so we started riding. The dudes from little black bike had a BBQ setup and drinks which was awesome. And the mayor from Adelaide gave a speech about how he was stoked on the trails in the city. After that we started riding and the trails were running super good. The dudes put a lot of time and effort into them. Lots of trains went down. Riding didn’t stop till dark. Thankfully no one crashed to bad. Brad Mas
