ACT JAM 2014 – PART 1

All photos shot by Cooper Brownlee. Shoutout to Backbone for putting the weekend on.

Growing up the early ACT jams were something you looked forward to for months before the actual jam but then as the years went on unfortunately they stopped happening. Thankfully last year the good people at Backbone revived the jam series and kicked it off with a bang.

I can honestly say this was the best jam I have been to in years, it really had a fun and positive vibe about it, you could not beat this weekend. 2 days of shredding 4 different locations really created some hype for each session and all the riders fed off each other and tore the shit out of every park.

The most important thing about this jam and the thing that gives me that feeling that BMX is alive and kicking is when crew travel up to 16 hours just to session with old friends and new ones for a couple of days, that to me is the most important thing about BMX, getting together with other riders and shredding whatever is in front of you. No stop clock, no final trick just a good old fashioned shred session.

Do yourself a favour and lock in next years dates for the trip you will not be disappointed. The following is part 1 of 2 from some shots I took over the weekend…
